Traditional Room Tori Room
The Chicken Room features a tokonoma (alcove) made from a single plank of pine and a splendid transom shaped like a chicken, showcasing the spirit and craftsmanship of a master artisan from the Meiji era. As you gaze at the quietly radiant gold-leaf fusuma (sliding door) paintings, your heart will gently brighten.
- The room is located on the second floor, accessible by stairs, so it is not recommended for those with mobility difficulties.
- Due to the room’s acoustics, which can easily amplify footsteps from the floor below, we kindly ask that elementary school-aged children and younger refrain from staying.
For Guests Staying in the Traditional Room
The traditional guest rooms are designed to allow guests to enjoy a nostalgic atmosphere, preserved as they were in the past. Please note that the air conditioning may not be fully effective, and there may be slight temperature variations in winter and summer. We appreciate your understanding.
